Here’s a photo of one of my
books on the basic Kindle
reader. Personal opinion --
Kindle is great, just great, for
fiction. For novels, and for
short stories, like my Triple
Play: Three Exciting
Baseball Adventures.
Fiction is just easy and
convenient to read on a
Kindle. But non-fiction is a
very different matter. Here,
you need the image clarity
that PDFs and print offer.
And, in PDF format, you can
easily use active links and
other interactive material,
like scripted Flash
simulations.
There’s another reason I like
PDFs. As an author, I can
sell them without encryption
-- so my readers can copy or
print as they wish. I don’t
like the Apple, Nook, and
Kindle DRM scrambling...
‘Digital Rights Management,’
they call it. No. If you buy
something, all ownership
rights should transfer at the
time of sale, just like when
you buy a Coca-Cola.
